Logitech Announces New MX Master 3 Mouse and MX Keys Wireless Keyboard

Logitech is rolling out new versions of its MX-branded series of mouse and keyboard with the MX Master 3 wireless mouse and MX Keys wireless keyboard.

Logitech on Wednesday announced a new version of its premium flagship MX-branded wireless mouse and keyboard. The new mouse is the MX Master 3 and is an upgrade to its previous Logitech MX Master 2S. And the newly announced keyboard is essentially the company’s CRAFT keyboard sans the unique programmable input dial for creators.

Logitech notes that its “newest flagship products are designed for advanced users, such as software developers, engineers or designers, who want to be more productive,” which is true, but the MX Master 2S is an incredible wireless mouse for anyone.

Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Mouse

The Logitech MX Master 2S is arguably the best wireless mouse on the market for power users. Logitech notes that its “newest flagship products are designed for advanced users, such as software developers, engineers or designers, who want to be more productive,” which is true, but the MX Master 2S is an incredible wireless mouse for anyone looking to be more productive.

And the company is taking things up a notch with its improved MX Master 3. The new mouse switches to USB-C for quick charging which keeps the mouse powered for up to 70 days. In fact, the new charging technology is said to provide three hours of life from a one-minute quick charge. It also includes an overhauled electromagnetic system that replaces the mechanical scrolling wheel.

Like its predecessor, the MX Master 3 mouse is multiplatform working with Windows, macOS, and Linux. It’s signature DarkfieldTM 4,000 DPI High Precision sensor tracks on all surfaces, including glass. It’s programmable, includes an “easy switch” for switching between OSes, and works via Bluetooth or the included USB unifying receiver. It retails for $99 and is available for preorder from the Logitech site and will ship later this month. And will come to retail stores like Best Buy in October.

Logitech MX Keys Wireless Keyboard

In addition to the new MX Master 3 mouse, the company also announced its new MX Keys wireless keyboard. As mentioned earlier, it’s a take on the company’s CRAFT keyboard but without the creative input dial. And, it’s at a much lower price. Like the CRAFT keyboard, it is equipped with smart illuminated keys that detects your hands and adjusts the keyboard lighting automatically based on room conditions.

MX Keys also now supports USB-C and will last up to 10 days per charge with the keyboard backlight turned on. And a whopping five months with it off. It will also turn off automatically to save on battery power. Like the mouse, it works on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and can be paired with three devices at once.

Logitech’s MX Keys is available now for preorder for $99 from Logitech.com and will ship later this month. It will be available in retail stores in October.
