Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 SP2 Released

This morning Microsoft released Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.  Here are the download links to the various flavors.  Be sure to grab the right one (32 Bit vs. 64 Bit etc.)

• Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 – Five Language Standalone for x64-based systems (KB948465)
• Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 – Five Language Standalone (KB948465)
• Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 – Five Language Standalone for ia64-based Systems (KB948465)

Along with the release of SP2, Microsoft included a few bonus downloads for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7:

• System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Server 2008 R2 Release Candidate for x64 Edition (KB947821) [May 2009]
• System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 Release Candidate (KB947821) [May 2009]

The Readiness tools are primarily a scan of your system to help you determine if you can upgrade the machine to either Windows Server 2008 R2 or the Windows 7 release candidates.
